Lucky Charms

Given many prior years flight adventures overseas plagued with flight cancellations, we had deep concerns over whether we would successfully make all of our flights to Europe today. After studying plane origins and schedules, I decided to wear my lucky airport pants today. Joel offered to wear his lucky actuarial exam shirt. I agreed enthusiastically until I saw it was a loud paisley number. I said we take our chances on that one and he wore a grey sweatshirt instead. After all of the worry, we were surprised to have on time flights.  No nail biter this year. (I hope I am not jinxing that luck that from my seat on our plane to Denver, but outlook for takeoff looks good at the moment.)

Backing up to San Antonio: saying goodbye to the dogs today was a challenge.  Mocha looked skeptical but perhaps will change her outlook when she discovers the other small doodles staying at Shary’s house this week.  She’s tried repeatedly to get Bacon to play with her, with mixed results at best.  Hopefully some group puppy energy will be just what she needed.

The new addition of live music at the airport was very well received. We all thought Nana would like the singer, it was her kind of singing voice.

I ordered Jane a tapas box as a treat. She ate the whole thing and regretted it for hours later, skipping dinner.

We are boarded in our seats. We don’t have seats next to each other, but we are all planning to sleep anyway.

Ciao!  Next update from Munich when we land.

  1. I love the video of Mocha and Bacon, that made me laugh. I’m surprised Bacon humored her as long as he did.

And yes, the airport singer was my kind of singer!

Have a great trip. I can’t wait to go to Italy while I’m sitting on my recliner😄
