The 21st Floor
Today was a transit day, and we drove the hour from Gyeongju to Busan. Our first stop was a cooking class near the beach. We prepared a soup, bibimbap, and chive pancakes. There were some Hungarians and a Canadian in our class, all friendly and fun to cook with. The meal was superb, and the homemade lunches was the best I’ve ever eaten. After our class, we checked into our Lotte brand hotel the hotel is also a department store in a busy downtown area of Busan. We roamed and went shopping in an underground mall they were selling clothing made in Korea, which is embarrassingly cheap. Jane was running out of clean shirts, but it was actually cheaper to be $8 to $10 shirts in the mall than it was to get them cleaned at the hotel. Yeah, we take back anything skeptical we ever said about the quality of desserts in Korea. We were wrong. The zero calorie snack store cracked us up. I don’t trust subway to properly store food safe turkey...
